Remodeling at a snail's pace

Our minor remodel job in our family room is progressing at a s-l-o-w pace - but it is going in the right direction.  Hubby told me that I could get a new sofa - and he gave a a price limit.  I scoured the ads and didn't find anything I liked for the money.  I need to be able to seat at least sixish - and I have eclectic taste - so I don't do matching furniture (sets like sofa, love seat, matching end tables and lamps for $1000). So I searched our classifieds and found what I wanted.  I'm so happy with my purchase, however when I brought home this beauty  - I noticed something I failed to see when I looked at it in the seller's basement - red dye!  Apparently the red throw pillows they had on it previously had bled onto the white leather and now I am trying to remove this stain.  We've searched and tried several suggestions on the web - not much luck.  Any ideas??

A closer look:

I know!  How could I not have seen it?  I'll keep pillows there - but I DO want to remove this stain if at all possible.

Hopefully the stain is only in one spot? No idea what to do. I don't suppose the cushions are reversible? Of course not - that's way too easy a solution. :-(

Good Evening Ruthie Sweetie...
Oh what a beautiful share. I love your blog, your header photo is gorgeous. Love all those smiles.

That couch is gorgeous, and while it does have a stain, it can be covered with pillows and it is SO gorgeous. Sure fits the room well.

I have read that there is baking soda mixture that can work. Have you called a company to ask what they would charge to clean it? Or if there is something from a leather company that you can use to clean it?

Thanks for stopping by Country Wings in Phoenix and for sharing your beautiful home sweet one. I am your newest follower. I hope you will follow along as well. Have a glorious week sweetie. Many country hugs, Sherry

Hi Ruthie, I am following your blog anonymously, that is why I don't show up on your followers. I've been on a blog break for a little over a week.

This sofa is gorgeous. Pillows or an afghan are a good solution and you might ask a dry clean store about the stain.

Have a great evening.

Oh, I'm so sorry about the stain! Can you flip the cushions? A temporary fix, but it won't be seen. Maybe Magic Eraser? Hope you find a solution!
